How the book began
The original idea for this story and the other five started back in 2015 and was just a few notes about four cats and the adventures they will have. Our cat Frizz was the inspiration – I took some of his traits for each cat – Scat is small, Chips will try food he shouldn’t, Alleyoops is crazy and Tiger is striped all traits found in our cat.
I wrote
the stories and they were just in a file for a few years when I decided I
wanted to share these stories with others, The first being A Christmas Tail. In
total there are six but I am working on a seventh and there may be more and
maybe some new cat character may be introduced. One thing that was pointed out
to me was that the first letter of each of the cat’s names spell S CAT, and so
I decided to the call series of stories The Scat Gang.
I hope that the other stories in the series will be published as I feel that
both young and old will enjoy these stories.
